Description

This wine stopper of the Concord Minute Man is a keepsake of the original statue made by Daniel Chester French in 1874. The full-sized statue sits at the Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, the site of “The Shot Heard Round the World” as coined by Ralph Waldo Emerson. This location is widely recognized as the site of the beginning of the American Revolutionary War, where local farmers took up arms to protect their town and ultimately freedom. With one hand on his plow and another on his rifle, this statue honors that pivotal moment and bravery.

Meticulously modeled with attention to detail of the real monument, this wine stopper is handcrafted from fine pewter in Concord, Massachusetts. Learn more about the creation process here.
